Alexandrina World Music Festival 2010

The Arts Center at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina has the pleasure to announce its World Music Festival 2010, to be held from 23 - 28 April 2010, in the city of Alexandria.

The Arts Center at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina has the pleasure to announce its World Music Festival 2010, to be held from 23 - 28 April 2010, in the city of Alexandria.

Participation Conditions:
  1. Group size: The Bibliotheca Alexandrina will cover a World Music Group ofMaximum 6 persons. Any additional participants will have to cover their ownexpenses, however the Bibliotheca can book their hotel rooms with a special rate.
  2. Flight Tickets: The Bibliotheca Alexandrina will not cover Flight tickets.
  3. Accommodation: The Bibliotheca Alexandrina will cover accommodation for all participants; individuals and groups (up to 6 participants in the group – double rooms) for maximum 3 nights, on Bed and Breakfast basis.
  4. Ground Transportation: The Bibliotheca Alexandrina will cover transportation from and to airport.
  5. Per diem: The Bibliotheca Alexandrina will be able to provide EGP 110 (equivalent to 20 $) for each participant as daily per diem for three nights in Alexandria (up to 6 participants in the group).
  6. Publications: The Bibliotheca Alexandrina will cover publications and marketing material of program booklet, posters, flyers of the Festival. Participating groups are required to send relevant material; abstracts, photos, press criticism …etc.
  7. Theater and Technical Staff: Bibliotheca Alexandrina will provide the Theater for rehearsal same day of the performance, and technical assistance from the BA Technical unit.
  8. Festival Pass: Each band member will receive a festival pass in order to attend all events.
  9. Visa Fees: The Festival will reimburse the Visa Fees for up to 6 participants.
  10. Documentary: The Bibliotheca Alexandrina will produce a documentary Film in DVD format documenting the Festival.
  11. Participation Certificate: Each participating group will receive a participation certificate.
  12. Invitation Letter: Accepted Groups will receive an official invitation letter including sponsor’s benefits to submit it to any potential sponsor.
  13. Travel Sponsors: Travel sponsors will all be acknowledged in local and international press releases and daily announcements. All sponsors confirmed before mid of March 2010 (contributing cash, flights or other services valued at EGP 20,000 or more are eligible to promotional privileges of:

Logo in festival program (more than 3,000 copies distributed) Logo with artists profiles on festival website (309217 hits is the daily average in October 2009) Text acknowledgements on sponsors page on the website Text acknowledgements in festival e-newsletter updates (more than 40,000 contacts worldwide) Text acknowledgements in festival press releases to local, regional, international media.
